The Wildcats have dipped into the Palmetto state for another verbal commitment on the defensive side of the ball. Swansea (SC) linebacker Taylor Wyndham has committed to Kentucky over offers from Buffalo, Newberry, Marshall and Georgia Southern.
"Yes sir, I have committed to Kentucky," Wyndham said. "I am pretty excited about it. I felt like Kentucky was just that place for me."
The 6-foot-4, 210 pounder recently participated in the North-South All-Star game at Myrtle Beach.
"The game went very well," Wyndham said. "I had a lot of fun meeting new guys and playing football. I believe I did very well and matched up good with everyone."
Wyndham could end up playing defensive end at the next level, but has been considered one of the better linebacker prospects in the state the past year. He visited the UK campus when the Wildcats defeated number-one ranked LSU.
"The campus was really nice," added Taylor, "The school is there to help. They have a lot of nice people that will be there for you. They offered me as soon as I left."
Wyndham was recruited by UK offensive coordinator Joker Phillips.
