Wildcat fans can rest when it comes to the commitment of Cincinnati LaSalle High School lineman Chandler Burden. "I'm solid with UK," Burden told KSR when asked about how things were going. "I really enjoyed going to the games against Louisville, LSU and Tennessee this season and can't wait until I get there."
While many prospects are just getting around to taking their official visits, Burden can't even remember the date in November when he came to Lexington for his visit. "I know they had a basketball game that weekend but I really don't remember what the date was. I had a real good time being around the other players and getting to know the coaches more."
While in high school Burden played on both sides of the ball, in college he's being projected as an offensive guard and he's fine with that. "I just want to do what is best for the team. I've been told I'll be a guard but other than that not much more has been said. I may or may not redshirt as a freshman we really haven't talked about that yet."
During his stay he learned about what will be expected of him once he arrives on campus as his host for the weekend also lines up along the O-line. "Billy Joe Murphy was my host but I got a chance to meet several other players and really felt like I belonged."
While Wildcat fans were excited about the teams on field success, Burden was always watching. "I watched the bowl game and could see myself playing in one in the future. It was really neat to know I'll be there very soon."
