Central Teammates Offered

One school, three offers, two different classes. The Wildcats are wasting little time in trying to get three high school teammates over the next two recruiting classes.

Kentucky Sports Report wrote in January about three teammates from Louisville Central High School receiving interest from UK. On Wednesday we checked back with Central head coach Tyrran Scroggins to get the latest on the trio.

"Kentucky has been in and has officially offered Mister Cobble and Ridge Wilson," Coach Tyrran Scroggins told Kentucky Sports Report. "In fact they unofficially offered sophomore Timothy Patterson as well since they feel he's going to be one of the best players in Kentucky for his class."

While Kentucky entered the picture early it doesn't mean the Wildcats are the only ones showing interest.

"Mister and Ridge are excited about Kentucky and hope to visit soon. Both are going to visit Western Kentucky for a Junior Day this week and Louisville is going to be in my office about 10 minutes from now so we'll learn if they have interest in offering them. Tennessee also wants them to visit for a Junior Day in the next week or so because they don't want to be left out of the picture. All I can say is SEC schools are hitting our school hard for these guys."

This will be an interesting battle in the Bluegrass State for three talented players who will see their stock continue to rise over the course of the coming months as more teams learn about them. Kentucky Sports Report will continue to follow all three prospects until they make the call.
