Watford talks about UK Elite Camp

Christian Watford is a busy man these days. Since leading the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions in scoring, the 6'8", 215 pound small forward has been a hot commodity on the recruiting trail. Just this week, Christian managed to participate in the University of Kentucky's elite camp.

"It was a great experience for me. I really like the coaches over there, especially Coach Webster, he has been heading my recruitment."

Watford is currently ranked as a Top 50 prospect in the 2009 class. While he is known as a great shooter who can play on the perimeter, he can also bang on the inside as well.

"The Kentucky coaches told me at camp that I reminded them of a Scottie Pippen type player and they liked my versatility. I'm still working on getting stronger though."

Watford plans to go through the entire recruiting process and make a decision before the early signing period. While he has He relayed a list of schools that stood out to him.

"Louisville, Kentucky, Memphis, Indiana, and Alabama. I don't really have a leader right now and I'm still open, but I plan on taking official visits to all of those schools and making a decision in November. I may take longer if I need more time."

Watford is still taking unofficial visits this week. He left Lexington on Monday and headed to the University of Louisville for an unofficial visit. He will be participating in the NBA Players Top 100 Camp next weekend.
