Brown Picks Up Two Offers Hearing From More

Wildcats and others have shown interest in Lone Oak wide receiver Jamarielle Brown. We get the latest on who has offered and what the Wildcats are saying.

This fall will see Jamarielle Brown on the other end of the football. Last season Brown caught 106 passes for 2,021 yards and 28 touchdowns while earning several postseason honors. This year it will be Brown looking to hookup with a wide receiver to help Lone Oak make a return trip to the championship game.

"Corey is going to be hard to replace. I'm going to be playing quarterback this year as well as safety on defense. I'll be more of a runner and I don't see myself throwing for 90 touchdowns."

While Brown has been working to attend several camps, he's also found some of them fell on days he was either preparing or taking the ACT.

"I planned on going to Kentucky and Western Kentucky but my mom made me prepare for the ACT and then I had to take it. So I missed those two camps. I hope to make it to Kentucky for their skills camp in July."

With offers from Murray State and Tennessee Martin, Brown has seen several programs take notice in the past couple of weeks.

"I camped at Vanderbilt and I'm going to Tennessee next week. Louisville talked with me and their waiting to see my transcript and if they like it they may be offering me. I've talked with Coach Phillips and have a lot of interest in Kentucky."

Brown is one prospect I'd be interested in seeing where he ends up. Having seen him play last season, I feel he's the type of player who could make a program a top quality receiver.

We'll continue to follow Jamarielle until he makes his college decision.
