Ridge Wilson is among the top recruits in the state of Kentucky this season. He's also thought to be one of the top couple of targets left in the state for UK. Since we last spoke with him, has anything changed in his recruitment? "No new offers, except Colorado. Most schools just want film, that's about it. There haven't been any newcomers," he said.
Wilson has made it clear that his goal is to play in the SEC. "I'm considering SEC schools. I want toplay in the SEC. There's no exact school right now. I know I'll feel it in my heart when I know. Right now my heart is with Kentucky and Tennessee," he said. "I visited both stadiums and felt good about both atmospheres," said Wilson.
But does Wilson hold a Volunteer offer? "UT hasn't offered yet. They ware waiting on film before they offer. There was a problem with the film that my coach sent them before," he said.
Wilson says he won't wait too long before making his decision. "I'm gonna probably take all my visits and ten make my decision around the fifth or sixth game of the season. I don't want this to drag out for too long," he said. Wilson has set up one of those visits. "I'm going to Arkansas next week, if it's okay with the coach," said Ridge.
Louisville Central opens their season with cross-town rival, Manual High tonight. "I'm ready to go. I've got a lot to prove," said Wilson.
Wilson's a three-star prospect according to Scout.com.
