Rich Brooks is in his sixth season at Kentucky with a record of 29-37 (.439) and 24th overall with a record of 120-146-4 (.452). The Wildcats' offensive coordinator is Joker Phillips and the defensive coordinator is Steve Brown.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN ARKANSAS HAS THE BALL
Michael Smith rushed for a career-high 176 yards and one touchdown on a careerhigh 35 carries to lead Arkansas to a 25-22 win at Auburn. Smith's 63-yard touchdown run midway through the fourth quarter put Arkansas ahead to stay, 25-20. He also had two catches for 46 yards and returned a punt for 10 yards, giving Smith 232 all-purpose yards. Smith leads the SEC and ranks ninth in the nation, averaging 119.8 yards per game. Casey Dick is second in the SEC and ranks 41st in the nation in total offense per game with an average of 236.8 yards per outing.
Trevard Lindley, who holds the school record for career pass breakups (30), leads the SEC and is tied for 12th in the nation in passes defended. He has charted seven pass breakups, including three against Alabama, and three interceptions this season. Jeremy Jarmon leads the team and is tied for sixth in the SEC in tackles for loss this season with 5.5. The linebackers are led by Braxton Kelley, who has 227 tackles in his career. Marcus McClinton also has three interceptions.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN KENTUCKY HAS THE BALL
Jerry Franklin leads the Hogs with 52 tackles in the first six games. He has garnered 34 solo tackles and 18 assisted stops. He has 2.5 tackles for loss (-9), 0.5 sack (-6), one interception, two quarterback hurries and one forced fumble. He tallied a career-high 12 tackles in Arkansas' 28-27 win over Louisiana-Monroe. Adrian Davis recorded four tackles, including three sacks (-29), forced a fumble and recorded his first interception of the season in the victory at Auburn. Elton Ford is pacing all SEC true freshmen in tackles per game with 5.3 stops per outing.
UK quarterback Mike Hartline ranks sixth in the SEC in total offense, averaging 169.0 ypg. Derrick Locke is the team's leading rusher with 269 yards, including a career-long 68-yard dash vs. Norfolk State. Locke is second on the team in receiving, totaling 189 yards on 22 catches. Leader Dicky Lyons, Jr., will be out for the remainder of the season after sustaining a knee injury during the South Carolina game.
Jeremy Davis is averaging 44.2 yards per punt in his first six games including a career long punt of 58 yards earlier this year against Auburn. So far this season, Davis has punted 25 times for 1,106 yards and has landed seven kicks inside the opponents' 20-yard line. He has recorded fi ve punts of 50 yards or more this season. Davis ranks second in the SEC and 11th in the nation with his 44.2 yards per punt average. Kicker Tim Masthay leads the SEC and ranks third nationally in punting with a 45.2 yards per punt average. On kickoffs, he also leads the SEC in touchbacks with 17. Lones Seiber has now made 32-of-54 field goals in his career. He ranks tied for fifth in the SEC in field goals made. Locke leads the nation in kickoff returns at 38.0.
