After leading Hoover to a 13-2 record on the season and a berth in the state championship game, Pat Miller will now focus on his recruitment which centers around four different schools. "Kentucky, Oklahoma State, Mississippi State and West Virginia are my leaders," said Miller. Those major conference schools like Miller for a reason.
"I'm a lockdown corner," said Miller. "I play fast and physical," he continued. "I want to get better at press coverage and just become a dominant player," said Miller.
Several schools are showing interest and for good reason. Miller is a top notch cover corner with a lot of speed. The 5-foot-10 170 corner runs the 40 (yard dash) in 4.47 and his speed and ball skills helped him pick off seven interceptions this season.
So does Miller have a leader? "Kentucky, I'm really interested in Kentucky. West Virginia also," said Miller. "I'm looking had at Mississippi State and Oklahoma State as well," said Miller.
"I'm taking a official visit to Kentucky next weekend (12/13)," said Miller. Could Miller commit on his visit if things look good. "I'd probably wait it out. If it's really good, though I might commit on the spot."
So what is it about Kentucky that Miller likes? "It's in the SEC. I like the way the defense plays. It's a fast paced style," he said.
"I'm just looking for a place that feels like being at home; somewhere with good coaches," said Miller.
Miller will make his decision at the end of December or the first part of January. His visit to Kentucky will be his first planned visit.
Miller is the number 69 corner in the nation according to Scout.com.
