Patterson named SEC Player of the Week

On Monday the SEC named Kentucky's Patrick Patterson the SEC Player of the Week.

Patrick Patteson was named the SEC Player of the Week on Monday, following a week in which he averaged 30 points and 12.5 rebounds. Patterson scored double-doubles against both Tennessee State University and Florida Atlantic University. Against TSU Patterson netted 33 points and pulled down 11 boards. In Sunday's game against Florida Atlantic Patterson scored 27 points and pulled down 14 boards. Patterson is the fourth Wildcat to earn Player of the Week honors this season, and the second consecutive Wildcat honored. Jodie Meeks was last week's Player of the Week, his second such honor of the season. Deandre Liggins earned the freshman Player of the Week award earlier in the season.
