The Cats were hindered by turning the ball over 22 times. Many of the turnovers were unforced. Auburn converted the 22 turnovers into an equal number of points, which kept them in the game until very late.

Kentucky hit 52.5% of its shots; against a normally stingy Auburn defense.

The Wildcats defense held the Tigers to 38.8% from the field.

At the beginning of SEC play today there were three undefeated teams remaining. With Florida losing to South Carolina and Mississippi State going down to LSU. This leaves the Wildcats as the lone undefeated team in SEC play at 4-0. The Wildcats are now 15-4, and travel to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide this weekend.
