The post season awards continue to roll in for Kentucky's Jodie Meeks. Meeks has been named to the second team All-American by the Associated Press. The All-America team is selected by the same pool of writers who vote in the AP poll each week.
Named to the first team were Blake Giffin, of Oklahoma; Tyler Hansbrough, of North Carolina; Stephon Curry, of Davidson; DeJuan Blair, of Pittsburgh; and James Harden of Arizona State.
Joining Meeks on the second team are UConn's Hasheem Thabeet, North Carolina's Ty Lawson, Notre Dame's Luke Harangody, and Marquette's Jerel McNeal.
Louisville's Terrence Williams, Florida State's Toney Douglas, Pittsburgh's Sam Young, Kansas's Sherron Collins and Duke's Gerald Henderson comprised the third team.
Meeks is Kentucky's first AP All-American since the early years of this decade when Kentucky placed a player on the team for three consecutive seasons as Tayshaun Prince was an AP All-American in 2001 and 2002; followed by Keith Bogans in 2003.
