Wednesday is announcement day for Eric Bledsoe. With news of a decision being made breaking late in his visit to Kentucky several people have anointed the Wildcats as the favorite to land the services of the point guard. Bledsoe is Scout's #6 rated point guard.
Bledsoe visited his two finalists, Kentucky and Memphis, making a long weekend of the visits by going back-to-back to Memphis then to Lexington.
It was late in the Kentucky visit when Bledsoe made a call saying a decision had been made.
Kevin Scarbinsky, of the Birmingham News, wrote that Bledsoe called his Parker High School coach, Maurice Ford, from Lexington and spoke with his coach.
Ford said, "He told me he was tired, and he was going to do what's best for him." Indicating that Bledsoe would make a decision independent of what John Wall might or might not do.
Scarbinsky cites a source saying Bledsoe has decided to cast his lot with Kentucky.
IMO, a call coming in the midst of his Lexington visit with news a decision had been made bodes well for the Wildcats.
Michael Eaves said, "I can tell you that the UK coaches are feeling rather confident that Bledsoe will choose UK."
KSR's sources are also hearing it will be a Kentucky choice for Bledsoe on Wednesday morning.
Bledsoe averaged nearly a triple double last season, tossing in 20.3 points per game, grabbing 9.4 rebounds and dishing out an amazing 11.5 assists per game.
