Kentucky On His Mind

With a former teammate having a Wildcats future, this Florida prospect has Kentucky on his mind.

When the Kentucky football staff got Donald Russell (Palm Beach Gardens/FL/Dwyer) in the fold for the Class of 2009 they did more than gain another player for the roster. They gained a huge fan looking to sell the SEC program deep in Gator Country.

One of the people who may have been the most affected by the Wildcats biggest fan in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida may turn out to be Robert Clark a cornerback from Dwyer High School.

"Donald is really excited about Kentucky," Clark said by phone. "He has a UK flag on his car and he's really pumped about going there. I don't know too much about Kentucky, but Donald tells me a lot about the football stadium and all the things they have up there."

Because of his former teammates excitement Clark knows he's got to make a visit.

"I'm trying to set up a visit there because they rank high with me as I think about them a lot."

While Clark knows he's got work to do in the weight room, his 4.39 forty time posted at a Gators camp has many programs showing interest.

"I ran a good forty at Gator camp and I've gotten several offers from schools like Louisville who just offered and Wisconsin, Vanderbilt and Purdue.

While Clark is excited about his football future he's also looking forward to having a great senior season. Kentucky Sports Report will check back with Robert in the coming weeks.
