SEC Preview: Florida heavy favorite

Florida is the clear-cut choice to win the SEC title, but the Gators' opponent in the league championship game figures to be decided only after a wide-open race for West division supremacy

With three straight national titles and seven overall in the past 17 years, the SEC has clearly established its place as the nation's elite football conference. Now the conference goes for a college football first--- no league has ever won four straight national championships.

As the defending champ, and with 18 starters and all of its key special teams players returning, Florida is a strong candidate to help the SEC make that history. But the Gators aren't alone in their ability to win it all. And as Ole Miss showed last year in its stunning win at Gainesville, making it through the SEC unbeaten just may be harder than winning the national title.

Scout.com went to its experts at each of the 12 SEC schools to gather post-spring practice outlooks for all the league squads, while also polling our writers to determine their picks to win the division and overall league titles.

The teams will be previewed over the next few days in order of their predicted division finish with first-place votes in parentheses.

Check back with Kentucky Sports Report on a daily basis for new team previews.
