King (Lebron) James visits Kentucky

College basketball's greatest tradition and basketball's most visible star came together Friday afternoon at Kentucky's campus. LeBron James, the 2009 NBA MVP, flew into Lexington to tour UK's basketball facilities.

On his way to Mississippi, one of the NBA's greatest players stopped in Lexington for a recruiting visit. Remember, James skipped college and went straight to the NBA, didn't he?

Of course, his eligibility has expired, so it was a mock recruiting visit set up by Coach John Calipari.

James met UK President Lee Todd and Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart and then toured the world-class Joe Craft practice center, along with UK's Hall of Fame, the practice facililties, and Memorial Coliseum.

Members of the UK basketball team met James as he watched pickup games, and shot a few baskets himself.
