Former Kentucky Wildcat Erik Daniels, a member of the vaunted 2003 squad that is the only squad to ever go undefeated in SEC regular season and tournament play, is trying to make a return to the NBA.
Unfortunately for Daniels he had little opportunity to show what he could do during the five game schedule, as he did not get off the bench until the final two games of play. During the final two games, played Saturday and Sunday, when Erik had an opportunity to play his minutes were limited to under 13 a game.
During the 25+ minutes of play in the final two contests Daniels scored three baskets in five attempts, including one of three from long range. Daniels complete league play with a total of 7 points scored, five rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal.
Daniels spent last season in the NBA's Developmental League, averaging 21.1 ppg and 10 rpg in 50 games.
