One recruiting analyst on hand for the game had watched Wayne play several times this summer, "Blackshear is developing at a rapid pace," he said, "I think his potential has no ceiling."
After seeing him in action, I would concur.
Like Meeks, Blackshear is quick up and down the court. Like Azubuike and Meeks he can score in bunches. He was able to use his quickness to create quick steals and breakaway dunks. He has a nice medium range jumper and can take it to the hole with authority. He can also rebound well.
A very brief interview with Blackshear after the game netted me only that he was taking his time with the recruiting process and that Kentucky was in the mix. The recruiting analyst I spoke with that has been following Blackshear said that he feels Louisville may be ending the summer with a slight lead for his services but added that there is a long way to go.
I'll see Blackshear play again Friday.
