"Coming from the bowl practices, I had confidence going into the bowl game. This season I have been working hard, putting on a couple of pounds and getting ready for the year. I am ready to play because I proved to myself in the bowl game what I can do," McCaskill, a sophomore, said.
"One game can make a huge difference. It can build your confidence a lot. Our confidence was down and we weren't making big plays and then to come into a game like that and have a good game just gives you motivation for the next season."
McCaskill thinks UK's receivers are going to be much more productive this year.
"I feel good about our offense. Our receivers are doing real well. We are rotating in together. Chris Matthews is doing good things. We are looking good," he said.
"The criticism we got last year just gives us motivation to go into the season and show what we have got. We are really going to be a strong offense this year. Everybody knows the offense. We have me and Randall on the outside. Then there is Chris. It will be a good season. Just wait and see."
