Burton: "Sometimes but I get to see coach Brooks every day because there is a picture of him right where I walk into the team meeting room. I think about coach Brooks every single day. It's a cool thing to see him like that."
Question: Do you stay in touch with any current Kentucky players still?
Burton: "Yes I do. I talk to Randall (Cobb) often. I talk to Aaron Boyd some and others. I try to keep in contact with guys and let them know they have an open line to me if they need anything."
Question: Couldn't those guys have used you last year when UK struggled so much at receiver?
Burton: "It's time for them to grow and produce. I think with the defensive team we had last year, if we had that team when we were in school we could have competed for the SEC championship.
"They can get better this year, but it all depends. These guys are not used to losing. They have to face adversity and deal with it and see how they stand it. Until they face adversity and really are challenged, you can't see their true character. They all have great character, but my class started from the bottom. We had to rebuild from the ground up. We went from playing 70 to 80 plays a game like myself and Wes did to being able to now rotate players in and out. We were not able to come in and out of the games like these guys now can. They have to really stand on their own two feet now. There's nothing that guys older than them can do for them any more. You have lost your Braxton Kelleys, your Jeremy Jarmons. Now these younger guys really have to step up and produce."
