"Last year I played wide receiver and our monster position, which is like a strong safety and linebacker," he explained, "This year, I play tailback and monster and sometimes wingback."
Harrington has been instrumental in the Tigers' 3-0 start this season. He has rushed for 209 yards and three touchdowns, including a 121-yard performance against Louisville Seneca. On defense, he has two interceptions and 18 tackles. With his size, athleticism and production, he is poised to become a heavily recruited prospect, but so far, word has not traveled far outside the state lines.
"So far, I'm just being recruited by Louisville and Kentucky," he reported, "Last year, I went to every Kentucky game at the end of the season. I like their coaches. They have a good coaching staff and their fans are into it. This year, I started going to both Kentucky and Louisville games."
Harrington has simiarly good things to say about the Cardinals.
"I went to their first game against Indiana State. It was nice. I like thier coaches. They are real friendly and I liked the facilities."
With his versatility, Harrington could play several spots at the college level and so far, he has had some indications about where that may be.
"One coach said Louisville wants me as a strong safety, I'm not sure about UK yet. I'd probably want to play running back or strong safety."
