And The List Goes On

Kentucky already boasts an impressive list of seniors attending the Big Blue Madness Festivities. Now it appears that the list of junior talent on hand could rival the seniors.

Earlier this week, KSR found out that 2011's top point guard, Marquis Teague would be visiting Madness next week. Teague has already made an unofficial visit to Lexington during the summer. There were rumblings that Teague would be making his decision prior to his junior season starting, but that may not be the case now.

"I'm not sure yet (when I'll make my decision)," said Teague told KSR last month. "I need to talk with my dad and we haven't talked about it yet," he finished. Teague also listed Kentucky along with Louisville, Indiana, Ohio State and Cincinnati as his top five. While many believe Teague will be a Louisville Cardinal, there is a chance that the Wildcats are inching up his list with these visits.

The top rated player overall in the 2011 class is New Jersey forward Michael Gilchrist. Not only is he the top player in the junior class, but he may arguably be the best player in high school basketball.

According to Evan Daniels, Gilchrist will be on campus for Kentucky's first public practice and scrimmage. While Gilchrist still has a two more years of high school basketball to complete before he arrives on a college campus, he may be the top overall recruiting target in Lexington next week. Gilchrist is highly interested in two teams, Kentucky and Villanova.

Most believe that he's a lock to play for one of those teams. The five-star prospect is also good friends with point guard Kyrie Irving who'll be making his official visit to Kentucky for Madness. If Irving opts for Kentucky over Duke, Texas A&M, Seton Hall or Connecticut, then Kentucky's chances with Gilchrist will go even higher.

Adding these prospects to the already impressive list of seniors will make for an interesting night at Rupp Arena.
