Kentucky has been working hard to recruit a big, every down running back. Bennett fits that mold at 6-foot, 210 pounds. "I consider myself an every down back, but I also have the speed to be a scatback and the ability to be a power back as well," said Bennett.
"I can also block and catch out of the backfield," he continued. "Whatever I have to do, I'll do it," said Bennett. "I feel like I just need to work on my breakaway speed," he said. Bennett says he's been timed at 4.6 electronically and 4.5 on handheld.
For several months Bennett's been listing the same schools. Has that changed?
"It's still Louisville, Kentucky and Vanderbilt," he said. "They are all even," he said.
"All three schools are in large cities. I like that. They are pretty close to home and they play in good conferences," said Bennett. "Plus they all have my major, construction management," he finished.
Bennett is focused on his season right now. Through seven games he's amassed over 1000 yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground. Bennett also has his team at a 6-0 mark. After the season, he'll focus more on recruiting.
"I'll make my official visits after the season is over," said Bennett. "I really don't have a time schedule (on making a decision). I'm just going to make it when I feel right about where I want to be."
