The Wildcats are set to lose Corey Peters after this season and they need to add depth to the current group of defensive tackles. A prospect on the radar is three-star tackle Jared Morse.

Jared Morse is one of the top defensive tackles in the state of Alabama and one of the top tackles on the Wildcat recruiting board. At 6-foot-3, 260 pounds, Morse already has good size, but there are other assets that he brings to the table. "I've had great coaching. I Have great hands. I've gotten better and stronger," said Morse.

"I want to keep getting faster and stronger," he continued. "I want to work on trying more moves during the game. I try things during practice during the game, I just bull rush," he said.

Whatever Morse is doing, he's received offers from several excellent programs. "(Aside from Vanderbilt), Kentucky, Auburn and Arkansas have all offered me scholarships," he said.

Morse did commit to Vanderbilt back in the summer, but he's chosen to take additional visits. "I'm just trying to make sure to take as many visits as I can. I think an official will be a nice way to see what other schools have to offer," said Morse.

One of the visits that Morse has scheduled is one to Kentucky. "I will be at Kentucky on the weekend of December 6th," said Morse.

So where does Morse know about the Wildcats? "I know they beat Auburn this past weekend. I don't know as much as I'd like to," said Morse. "I was going to go up one weekend, but I had somethings come up. I've never been up to see the facilities. But they've clearly got a good program," Morse said.

Morse hasn't scheduled any other official visits at this time.
