The Southeastern Conference has named Kentucky center Jorge Gonzalez the Southeastern Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week, the SEC office announced on Monday.
Gonzalez gained the honor for his performance in Kentucky's 36-13 win over the University of Louisiana at Monroe. For the ULM game Gonzalez graded at 86 percent, and did not allow a quarterback sack. Offensively Kentucky accumulated 330 total yards for the game, averaging 6.3 yards per play from scrimmage. The Kentucky offense ran for 185 yards, the second-most allowed this season by ULM.
Gonzalez, who is a senior from Tampa, Florida, is the fifth Wildcat this season to receive an SEC Player of the Week award.
