Wildcats Land Verbal from Corner

A big recruiting weekend in Lexington leads to a UK verbal.

Gadsden City High (Al.) product Dale Trimble was one of the top prospects on Kentucky's board all season long. Finally the Wildcat persistence paid off.

"I commmitted," said Trimble Sunday evening. "I enjoyed being around the players. They were good people. They didn't act stuck up like they were too good," said Trimble.

Trimble visited Kentucky for one of the biggest basketball games in Rupp Arena in recent years when the Cats took on North Carolina. Trimble was impressed with the fan support.

"It was crazy," said Trimble. "At Kentucky they are probably bigger on basketball than football. But I don't know, they might be equal. I just know I really enjoyed myself," he finished.

So is this a solid verbal? "I might take another visit," he said. "I feel pretty confident with Kentucky though," he finished.

This season Trimble lead his school to a 13-1 record and he had 59 tackles, 10 passes broken up and three interceptions.

Trimble is Kentucky's 19th public verbal commitment.
