Wall makes history with SEC FOTW award

Kentucky's John Wall has been named the Southeastern Conference's Freshman of the Week, again. The Kentucky freshman has won the award an unprecedented four consecutive weeks.

John Wall has made SEC history by being named the Southeastern Conference's Freshman of the Week for a fourth consecutive week. This marks the fourth time in league history that the award has gone to the same player four consecutive weeks.

Wall kicked off his play last week by scoring 12 of Kentucky's final fifteen points in leading the Wildcats to a 64-61 victory over the University of Connecticut when the schools squared off in the SEC-Big East Challenge at Madison Square Garden.

Wall's three point play with 30 seconds remaining gave the Wildcats a 63-61 lead over UConn.

On Saturday Wall scored 11 points, dished out eight assists and snared seven rebounds in helping the Cats to a 90-73 win over Indiana in Bloomington.

Wall's award continues Kentucky's domination as Kentucky frosh Eric Bledsoe won the award the first week of the season. Patrick Patterson won the SEC Player of the Week award earlier this season, giving he Wildcats six POTW awards on the young season
