Kentucky is still in search of an impact player at wide receiver in this class. One prospect who fits the description is Maudrecus Humphrey. Humphrey visited chilly Lexington for his official visit this past weekend.

After leading Hoover (AL.) to a state championship this season, it was time to focus on recruiting for Maudrecus Humphrey. He had four scheduled visits, including his visit to Kentucky this weekend. "I'm going to Arkansas this weekend. I've got Mississippi State after that," said Humphrey. "Louisville too," he said.

So what about the visit to Kentucky?

"It was good. I had a lot of fun. I really enjoyed getting to meet all the coaches and seeing the whole campus," Humphrey said. Fortunately for Kentucky, the frigid temperatures didn't bother the Alabama product. "I kind of liked the snow," he said.

Humphrey also enjoyed the feeling of being around the staff at Kentucky. "I like the way the coaches associate with the players. It's like a father-son type of thing. I feel really comfortable with the coaches. It's like a family," he said.

"(The coaches and I) talked about some of the choices and some of the schools I was looking at. They told me about some of the people they wanted. They talked to me about what is expected as a freshman," he said.

Humphrey expects to make his decision after his visit to Louisville at the end of this month.

Maudrecus is a three-star prospect according to Scout.com.
