Rock Oliver headed back to Kentucky

Staff changes at Kentucky continue as Rock Oliver has returned to Kentucky as Director of Performance.

For several years whenever strength and conditioning coaches were mentioned by Kentucky fans, the name that always came up was Rock Oliver. Oliver was Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Kentucky under Rick Pitino and helped to get the most out of the first couple of Pitino's teams.

Oliver left Kentucky to take the same position for the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers and has since held several positions for several organizations.

Now Oliver returns to Kentucky to help out both the basketball and football programs.

"It's a great opportunity at a place I love and my family is excited about going back. I'm going to Lexington to help (head football coach) Joker Phillips win an SEC championship and work again with one of my best friends in Coach Cal," Oliver said to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com.
