Video: Jon Davis a dynamic talent

One of Kentucky's first commitments for the 2011 class is athlete Jon Davis. Here's a first look at the Eastern product.

Kentucky's offense has been at its most potent when there's an excellent receiving threat at tight end. Bringing in Jon Davis for that role will only help bolster the Wildcat offense.

But Davis is so much more than just a tight end.

With his combination of speed (4.6 forty) and size (6-foot-3, 240 pounds), Davis could probably play a number of positions at the next level as well, but most colleges are already plugging him in at a particular spot. "Colleges see him as a tight end or H-back type of player. That seems to be where they like him a lot," said Ken Whalen, head coach at Eastern high. "He's too big for a safety to cover and too quick for a linebacker. He presents matchup problems," Whalen finished.

"His football instincts are his biggest strength," said coach Whalen. "He's a student of the game. Offensively his best quality is his hands. Defensively his best quality is the way he can break down a play," Whalen continued.
