DeCourcy: Kanter capable of double doubles

Mike DeCourcy, Sporting News: "I think Kanter can make a big difference, but to put him in Cousins' category is a bit ambitious, perhaps even reckless. Cousins is as gifted a rebounder as has visited college basketball in the past two decades.

He was an absolute machine on the boards. He also was an astonishing shot-maker, a player who did not need to be directly on the block to have a high-percentage shot.

"Kanter will be capable of double-doubles fairly early in his career. And I'd suspect he'll be more reliable than Cousins. I still think it's absurd the AP voted DeMarcus a first-team All-American at 23 minutes per game.

That's just not enough. There were reasons DeMarcus didn't play fulltime -- stamina, attention lapses, foul trouble -- and in my mind they prevented him from being a first-team pick. I don't think those same issues will exist with Kanter."
