Kentucky received a commitment from their first defensive line prospect of the 2011 class when Clint Tucker chose the Cats. Tucker had a couple of offers as well as interest from several programs. "I had offers from Kentucky, Kansas and Illinois," said Tucker. Tucker also had interest from Alabama, Northwestern and Ohio State.

But playing with his teammate, Glenn Faulkner, as well as what he saw on his UK visit sold him on the Cats. "One of my teammates committed there. After I visited, I saw they had nice facilities and a nice coaching staff," continued Tucker. Tucker elaborated on his relationship with Faulkner as well. "We played terrific in high school and I think we can transition that over to college," Tucker said.

One Kentucky coach who's had a hand in several of the Wildcat commitments was Tee Martin. Martin made a difference with Tucker as well. "I have a good bond with Tee Martin," he said. "He's a real good coach and understands me real well. He has a nice personality."

Tucker recently attended a Nike Camp and after his performance, he turned some heads. "I did real well. I think I got a little more out in people's faces as a player," he said. "A lot more people knew about me after the camp," he said.

The 6-foot-2, 285-pound tackle has already has great size, but he still wants to work on his game. "My speed and my strength are my biggest strengths. I want to get better at coming off the ball," he said.

The three-star tackle is Kentucky's ninth commitment for the 2011 class and the fifth in the last ten days.
