Kentucky has focused quite a bit of attention on recruiting offensive linemen in the 2011 class. One of those prospects calls the city of Lexington home. KSR speaks with Zach West.

Since KSR last spoke with Zach West, a lot of things have happened for the 6-foot-5, 280-pound guard. West has received another big offer as well as taken some visits to different schools.

"(The offer from Tennessee) felt really great," said West. "I've liked Tennessee for a long time. I met the offensive line coach before. But Coach Dooley and the rest of the staff seem like they are going to keep a winning tradition going," continued West.

West was camping at Tennessee last week, when he received the offer.

West also got to visit Happy Valley and met legendary coach Joe Paterno. "It was awesome," said West. "Me and my family went up there. We had a great overall impression," he continued. "I talked to Joe Paterno for a long while. That was probably one the better visits I've been on," he said.

With heavy hitters now on board for West, where does Kentucky stand? Are the Wildcats still in the picture?

"Of course," West said. "They are definitely near the top of my list," he continued.

"I'm still completely open right now. I want to get a few more impressions on some places we haven't been to," continued West.

"I'll be visiting Cincinnati and Northwestern within the coming weeks," he said. "I hope to go back down to Tennessee and Penn State again too," West continued.

So is a decision still coming before school starts?

"I'm still considering making a decision before school. I'm not entirely sure. I'll narrow it down when I take all the visits," he said.
