It's been a big week for the University of Kentucky's football program when it comes to recruiting. The Cats started off the week with defensive back Riyahd Jones making the call to be a Wildcat. Soon after Jones, the Wildcats received commitments from linebacker Blake Terry and defensive lineman Christian Coleman. The Cats finished off this frenzy of commitments with one of the quickest players on the board, Daylen Hall.
Hall, a 5-foot-9, 190-pound corner, was a standout for one of the state football powers, Saint Xavier. After camping with the Wildcats and receiving a scholarship offer, he decided to become a Wildcat.
"(Kentucky has) always been a place where I've wanted to go," said Hall. "Also because it's an SEC school," he continued.
Hall's verbal commitment is pretty firm, but he does want to know what else is available. "It was only a verbal. It takes pressure off of me heading into my senior year," he continued.
Hall says he plans to also visit Cincinnati and some other SEC schools during the season.
As a junior, Daylen had 75 tackles, seven interceptions, two sacks and seven touchdowns. Hall also runs the forty in 4.33 seconds.
