"That was a great win for ULM", said Gammell. Caleb was on an unofficial visit and will take his official at the ULL game. "We played at Caldwell Friday night so I just stayed in town so I could come to the game".
"I met a lot more of the coaches and talked with some of the players. I had a great time".
Caleb is having a heck of a season too. In addition to averaging over 43 yards a punt he has caught 10 touchdowns as a wide receiver. "I hit a 61 yard punt Friday night and downed one inside the two yard line from the 45".
His recruitment picked up a bit too. "ULL came to one of my games recently and called me later that week with a scholarship offer". "They are telling me that I can play WR but I'm not interested".
For kicker Justin Manton, this was his official visit to ULM. "We drove up Saturday morning and got here about 10:30", said Justin. I had a lot of fun". "We checked out all of the facilities, talked to the coaching staff, and that night went out to eat and hung with some players".
6'1 195 Justin Ginyard out of Ouachita was also on his official visit to ULM this weekend.
"I love everything about the school", said Ginyard. I really liked hanging out with some of the current players. I had a lot of questions and they answered all of them for me. It was a good visit".
As for the game Justin said he had a feeling ULM was going to win. "I knew it was a big game. They had ULM 17 point underdogs but I knew they were going to win. Those guys were focused and fired up pre-game".
