Lane Is One To Watch

With three verbal commitments from the state of Arkansas on board the Warhawks are trying to add a few more before signing day.

Watson Chapel high school defensive back Mitch Lane caught the eye of the ULM coaching staff during the 2010 season and has since landed himself a football scholarship.

The 6'2 190 Lane played wide receiver and safety for Watson Chapel but projects at the safety position in college.

"Coach Reffett came by my school, got some film and liked what he saw", said Lane. He seems like a real good person". "I am going down there on January 14th for my official visit.

The Warhawks along with Arkansas State, and Central Arkansas are showing the most interest in Mitch.

Arkansas State hasn't offered me yet but they have been talking to me about coming up for a visit".

Watson Chapel uses a heavy run game to set up the play action passing game. Mitch thrived in it with 33 catches for over 700 yards and 12 touchdowns.

"I'm looking forward to my visit. I want to see how the players interact with the coaching staff and how I will fit in".
