Ceaser Chats With Warhawk Nation

ULM got a steal late in the recruiting process when Takemian Ceaser jumped on their offer and signed a NLI today to play for the Warhawks. Come inside to find out how Roshon landed at ULM and what kind of player ULM has landed.

The Warhawks got a steal on signing day when Clinton, La prospect Takemian Ceaser pledged his LOI to ULM today.

Ceaser was a prospect that was on the ULM radar back during the summer and things heated back up the past week when ULM recruiting coordinator Bryan Applewhite informed him he had a scholarship offer from the Warhawks.

"Coach Applewhite told me that they had a lineman decommit and that they had a spot come open and that they wanted to offer it to me", said Caeser.

"Coach wanted me to take an official visit but I was already scheduled to visit Prairieview so I took my trip then came up to ULM on that Thursday".

Ceaser, who goes by "Roshon", said he is 6'1 and weighs 174 pounds. He was clocked last summer with a 4.54 forty time and registered a 36" vertical. He has a 3.0 GPA and scored a 17 on his ACT.

"ULM told me I was the best of the top 3 that were still on their board so I got the offer".

"I came down and met the coaches, the players, and toured the campus and facilities".

"ULM is close to home and I can tell they are serious about my education. Plus ULM is a place where I can have a great college career and get a shot at the next level. Coach Berry told me he would rather me be late for practice than late for class".

Ceaser had a heck of year for Clinton and was rewarded with some big time invites after the season was over.

"I was honorable mention All State, 1st Team All District and Metro and I got invited to the Red Stick US Army bowl game".

In that game Ceaser caught the winning touchdown from Northwestern commitment Zach Oliver from 13 yards out. It was his second touchdown grab of the day from Oliver. The two hooked up earlier in the contest from five yards out. The defense had no one to cover Roshon who finished the contest with 7 catches for 127 yards and 2 touchdowns.

In addition, Ceaser was also invited to play in the Nike Bayou Bowl which features the states top player from Louisiana and Texas. That contest will be played in June.

Ceaser was being looked at by a slew of schools. Memphis, SELA, Arkansas State, McNeese, Alcorn, and several others according to Roshon.

"I have a shot to come in and compete early. A lot of it will depend on how summer workouts go. I need to put some weight on and learn the speed of the college game".

Warhawk Nation's Take

Ceaser plays much bigger than his 6'1 height. Watching his film you would swear he is at least 6'3. He is great at timing his jump to go up for the ball at his highest point. Very good hands and long arms, a very rangy wide receiver. Doesn't posses elite speed but with a 4.5 but will not be caught if he gets behind you.

A bigger more physical version of current ULM Warhawk Tavarese Maye and the most talented WR taken in the Warhawks 2011 class. With a red-shirt season, will be one of the biggest offensive weapons for ULM in 2012.
