Harris Working Hard, Looking For Offers

Watson Chapel defensive tackle Jackie Harris is prepping for his senior season and in the process hopes to turn the heads of college coaches.

"I;m just training and working out hard, getting ready for the season", said DT Jackie Harris.

The name should sound very familiar as his father Jackie Harris SR was an All American TE at then Northeast Louisiana University and drafted in the 4th round of the 1990 draft by the Green Bay Packers.

The younger Harris has yet to pick up any scholarship offers but has gotten some interest from Central Arkansas and Harding. "My father just tells me to play the season and things will happen for you".

"Harding likes the way I play hard and would like for me to come up for a visit at some point".

"I would really like to major in Criminal Justice so I will be looking for a school that can offer me that".

"I haven't heard from ULM but I definitely would like to", said Harris. Louisiana Tech, Arkansas State and Central Arkansas as well".

As for his upcoming season Harris says the defensive line will be young. "I am the only senior on the line so I am trying to keep the younger guys motivated and competing on every down. I think they will come along well as the season goes".
