New Orleans OL Commits to ULM

Trying to start a pipeline in the deep south was a concern for the ULM staff and yesterday they pulled a big one in De La Salle lineman Jack Mervin. The 6'6 275 pounder talked with Warhawk Nation about his commitment.

"I'm just really excited", said De La Salle OL Jack Mervin. "I feel like a built a solid relationship with the ULM coach staff".

At 6'6 280 pounds Mervin says the staff really likes him at the right tackle postion.

"ULM has a senior at RT so that is a position they would like for me to come in and compete for".

"I talked with McNeese, North Texas, and Lafayette but I liked the relationship I built with Coaach Applewhite the running backs coach".

Over the summer Jack made the trip North to take in the city of Monroe and the ULM campus.

"I really like the campus, and Monroe was much bigger than I thought it was gonna be. Everything was tight and clean, I like the student success center as well".

"The staff at ULM said they liked they way I was throwing people around on my highlight tape".
