Before committing on Thursday night to the Warhawks, Rentfo took an unofficial visit to the campus of ULM this past week. "I wanted to see the academic side of ULM and the city of Monroe", said Ryan.
"Coach Farmer and Coach Logan showed me around campus and I can tell there is a lot of support for their student athletes". "I met with the tutoring counselor and the head of the Criminal Justice department which was great".
I decided Thursday I was ready to commit so I called Coach Berry and told him I wanted to be a Warhawk. My timing was good because they were ready to make a move on some guys".
Rentfro said the staff at ULM start recruiting him back in the spring. "Coach Gilbert came by my school and that's where it all started".
Rentfro was holding offers from ULM, North Texas, and Central Missouri State with several other schools starting to make contact.
"The number one reason I chose ULM was because of the academic support they provide. They blew every other school I visited out of the water".
The second reason I committed was because of Coach Farmer, we connected and I really like him".
Ryan will take his official visit to the campus on January 13th and this time he says he will enjoy visiting with the current players and other prospects that are also on visits.
