With 31 seconds left on the clock, ULM quarterback Kolton Browning hit red shirt freshman Rashon Ceasar from 12 yards out to put the Warhawks within an extra point of tying it. Justin Manton would add that extra PAT to tie the game at 35. Check out the play below.
In what was a very sloppy game with missed assignments and turnovers but the Warhawks would not quit and battled back to go to 3-0 for the first time since 2009 in the Sun Belt.
Browning 22/41 (53%) threw for 308 yards and four touchdowns with 2 interceptions. The scores included 16 yards to Jeron Hamm, 30 yards to Cortney Davis, 16 yards to Colby Harper, and 12 yards to Rashon Ceasar.
Kolton was also the teams leading rusher with 69 yards on 17 carries and touchdown runs of 20 and 3 yards.
Running backs Jyruss Edwards and Monterrell Washington combined for 8 yards on 5 carries. Edwards did add 72 receiving yards on 2 catches.
Junior Jeron Hamm led all receivers with 78 yards on 6 catches and a score. Harper added 62 yards on 7 grabs.
It appears that WR Colby Harper and Hawk Safety Mitch Lane will miss at least next weeks game with undisclosed injuries.
