2008 First Look: Mike Babineaux

Carencro Safety Mike Babineaux has been working hard to take his game to a new level. With that hard work, he is hoping the surrounding schools start to take notice.

"I've been working hard all summer to prepare myself for the upcoming season", said Babineaux. We will start two a days on the 23rd. Playing in the states highest classification of 5A, Mike will need to bring his A game every Friday night.

"I haven't been able to attend a lot of camps this summer but I did make it out to the SELA camp earlier this year". A couple of my teammates and I had a good time there. There was some good talent at the camp but I thought we stood out as far as performance goes".

"This year I am really looking forward to play Catholic-BR. Our school has never beaten them in the history of the two schools". I am also pushing myself to be a better tackler and cause more turnovers for our defense. So far Mike has not received any official offers but does have his eye on several instate schools.

Louisiana Tech, ULM, SELA, and Houston are some schools that I wouldn't mind visiting. I've heard good things about Tech and I have some buddies that might go there. I don't know much about Houston, but I am open to any school.

*Mike has a 2.9 core GPA, benches 265, squats 360, and has a broad jump of 9'8.*
