There is plenty of talent to go around when you're talking about the St James Wildcat football team. Yesterday one of those talented players gave his verbal commitment to play for the ULM Warhawks.
Casey Narcisse, a 6'0 280 pound defensive tackle has verbally committed to play for Coach Weatherbie and the ULM Warhawks. Narcisse anchors a defensive line that is fresh off a 39-0 shut out victory over West St John this past Friday.
According to Scouts Inc, Casey is the number 27th ranked defensive tackle in the nation. Scouts Inc also had this to say about Casey. "He is built like a cannon ball and can come off the ball and get into a blocker and knock him back. He has a thick lower body and displays the ability to push a bigger opponent off of him."
"He is good with his hands. His height will probably keep bigger schools away, but if he was taller he would very likely be a heavily recruited player. A smaller school though will likely steal a good player."
"I committed to ULM on Tuesday night", said Casey. I really felt like ULM was the place for me and coach Manny Michel really made me feel like I would fit right in."
"ULM is going to lose some guys on the defensive line this year and I will get a chance to come in and play as a freshman. I watched the ULM/Tulsa game this past Thursday and I was impressed with the ULM defensive line. I liked the scheme they ran."
Other schools that were showing interest in Casey were Southern Mississippi, Louisiana Tech, ULL, Nicholls, SE Louisiana, and McNeese St(offer).
This past Friday against West St John Casey had 13 total tackles, 2 sacks and 4 tackles for loss. Casey has a bench of 350 and a squat of 610.
