Jamie Ghilley, who is being recruited as a pitcher says he is flying under the radar. "Most teams do not know that I am a pitcher because I had surgery last year and didn't get to pitch much. I expect to take on a much larger role this season as a senior though."

Jamie is a 6'0 right handed pitcher that got 2 starts last season and got the win in the team's semi-final game last season. "I had a good season last year with my bat but most colleges are recruiting me for my arm."

I stayed active this summer playing for Coach Coker at game time academy. We were supposed to play one fourteen inning game in Monroe this weekend but we got rained out. " As for his recruiting, Ghilley says he would like to get that over with so he can concentrate on his senior season.

So far I have heard from ULM, Louisiana Tech, LSU, and Northwestern State. So far ULM is the only school that has offered me. Jamie says he plans on majoring in biology and will consider a future as a veterinarian. "I have got to take care of my grades or I might go the JUCO route".

As for the upcoming season Jamie says he expects his team to do great things. "We have seven seniors coming back so I expect us to make some noise in 4A this year".
