The Class 5A Crossett Eagles are off to a 4-2 start to the 2007 football season. There are several playmakers on both sides of the ball that have contributed to the good start.
One of those playmakers is Terrell Bryant. Terrell stands 5'9 160 and attended camps at Arkansas and LaTech this past summer. "We are looking good right now", said Terrell. If we win out this year we will win our district and I think we can do it".
Bryant pulls double duty for the Eagles lining up at wide receiver and defensive back. "So far this season I have caught three touchdown passes and I lead the team in total tackles". Bryant also plays baseball and runs track for the Eagles. "I was named to the all state team in baseball as well as track my junior season and finished 3rd in the long jump in the state."
So how has Terrell's recruiting been going so far this season? "Well some of my teammates and I were invited to the ULM game vs Arkansas State this past Saturday. I had a really good time, got to meet all of the coaches and talk to some of the ULM players as well as check out the locker room and weight room". As for the game? "It was a good game, ULM started to pull away in the second half, I really liked their running backs".
Terrell said he has not picked up any offers to date but has been hearing from several schools. So far ULM, Arkansas State, Arkansas Tech, and Louisiana Tech have been in contact with me. I am going to try and check out Arkansas Tech later on this season.
Terrell ran a 4.43 forty time and recorded a 32 inch vertical at the Arkansas one day camp. He currently holds a 2.6 GPA and is taking the ACT later this month.
