Carthage OLB To Wear Maroon And Gold

Carthage Bulldog OLB Rodney Chadwick was so impressed with his visit to the campus of ULM that he gave his verbal to play for the Warhawks next season.

"I got in town last night, woke up the next morning and toured the city of Monroe" said Chadwick. Met up with the coaches and players and took in the basketball game. I had a good time on my visit. It was nice to hang out with some of the players and just get a feel for the campus".

"ULM wants me to come in and play Outside Linebacker or the Bandit/Safety position for them. It's exciting because the program has come a long way and I want to help take them to the next level".

Chadwick has good size standing 6'1 and weighing 205 but the most impressive thing about him is his 4.5 speed. "I fly to the ball", said Rodney. That is what the coaching staff likes about me. As a Senior Rodney recorded 132 tackles forced 3 fumbles, and picked a ball off.

Why did Chadwick choose the Warhawks? "ULM is a good fit for me but mostly the hospitality was great. The coaches and players really treated me well, they made me feel very welcome". Did the departure of Coach Botkin to Arkansas have an effect on his recruiting? Nah, not really said Chadwick, Coach Farmer picked right up and started calling me".

Rodney will be academically qualified and plans on working on a degree in the coaching field. Chadwick said ULM, Northwestern State, Sam Houston, and Iowa State were recruiting him the hardest before his commitment to the Warhawks.
