LA, Texas Prep Stars Take Visits

With only three weeks left to get visits in the Warhawks will host seven more high profile athletes on the campus of Louisiana Monroe.

The ULM Warhawks will host seven players this weekend. Six of the seven will be on their official visit with one being a unofficial.

Edward Patterson 6'1 175, defensive back from Bastrop High school is scheduled to be on campus this weekend to talk to the ULM coaching staff. Patterson gave his verbal commitment to the LaTech coaching staff back in October but is still taking all of his visits. Patterson was a big play defender for the Bastrop Rams as they won three state championships from 05-07.

Patterson's teammate and Mr Football in the state of Louisiana for 2007 Randall Mackey is scheduled to be on an unofficial visit to campus. Mackey is a three year starter for Bastrop and finished his career 45-0 with 95 touchdown passes.

Already to committed to the ULM Warhawks is defensive tackle Casey Narcisse of St James High School. Casey will be taking his official visit this weekend as well. Casey was named class 2A defensive MVP for the state of Louisiana and recorded 60 tackles, including 15 for a loss, 3 sacks, forced 3 fumbles and recovered 2.

Moving onto Texas, the Warhawks will get a visit from big play wide receiver Julian Griffin. Griffin is from Gladewater High School and is 6'3 195. As a starter for two years, Julian finished his career with 77 catches for 1,199 yards and 19 touchdowns. "I am looking forward to meeting the coaching staff and talking to some of the current players", said Griffin. "I want to check out the campus atmosphere and see what kind of sports medicine program ULM has".

From Tatum High School, Cashas Pollard (5'11 185) will be taking his official visit to ULM. Cashas doubled as a defensive back and quarterback for his team this year. "ULM is recruiting me as a defensive back", said Cashas. As a senior Pollard threw for over 2,000 yards. "I visited Northwestern State last week and that was a good experience. I would like to see how ULM and NWST compare on my visit this week". On the defensive side of the ball Pollard excelled. He finished his senior season with 83 tackles and 6 interceptions. Cashas is holding offers from ULM, Houston, and Texas State.

Finally, Little Elm High School Mr Everything Cole Beasley will be on campus for his official visit to the Warhawks. Beasley (5'10 165)was noticed by the ULM coaching staff when he attended at camp on the campus of Oklahoma State. "Coach Wells noticed me when he clocked me at 4.42 in the forty yard dash. Beasley is holding offers from ULM, Air Force, and SMU. "I want to get on campus and see what school life is like at ULM", said Cole. "I want to talk to the players and see how their experience has been like at ULM". As a senior Beasley passed for 1,570 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also ran for 1,184 yards on 157 carries and scored 12 more touchdowns.
