ULM's Hill, Cunningham All Star Game Bound

ULM Seniors Kyle Cunningham and Adam Hill are headed west to play in the Texas vs. the Nation All-Star Bowl Game on February 2 in El Paso, TX. The two seniors have never missed a game while at ULM starting 46 games for the Warhawks.

Offensive linemen Kyle Cunningham and Adam Hill will represent ULM at the 2008 Texas vs. the Nation All-Star Bowl Game and running back Calvin Dawson has been invited to participate at the NFL Scouting Combine. The game is schedule for 4:00 p.m. on February 2 in El Paso, Texas and will televised by CSTV.

"I am very excited for all three players to have the opportunity to show off their skills for the NFL scouts," ULM head coach Charlie Weatherbie said. "For them to be invited to the bowl game and the combine, it says a lot about the young men and it also says a lot about the direction our program is heading."

Cunningham was a First Team All-Conference selection by the Sun Belt coaches, Rivals and College Football News (Scout). Hill was a Second Team selection by the Sun Belt and a First Team selection by College Football News.

The pair helped pave the way for the 16th best rushing attack in the nation and guided Dawson to back-to-back Sun Belt rushing titles. Both Cunningham and Hill started all 46 games of their ULM career.

The Nation team won the inaugural game last year 24-20 and saw 79 of the 108 players in the game sign NFL contracts.Former Philadelphia Eagles coach Buddy Ryan returns this year to coach the Nation. He will be opposed by former Alabama head coach Gene Stallings, who will coach the Texas squad, which is made up of players either originally from the state of Texas, or who played collegiately in Texas.

Hill will represent his hometown of Arlington on the Texas team, while Cunningham will play on the Nation team.

"I looking forward to strapping on the pads again and showing the scouts what I can do," Hill said. "This is a great opportunity to get some exposure and play the game I love at least one more time. It is going to be nice getting to play with Kyle one more time, even if were are on opposite teams."

The duo leaves Monroe for El Paso on Sunday and begins a week long practice schedule on Monday morning.
