According to Cochise head Coach Jerry Carrillo, Dynile (pronounced Deh-Nile) has cancelled all of his future visits and committed to the Warhawks. "Dynile is an extremely athletic player, he can score in bunches. There are not to many guys out there that have his speed and athletism combined with his shooting touch".
As a Freshman for the "Running Apaches", Dynile averaged 19ppg and upped that to 20.4ppg his sophomore season. Forbes was rewarded by earning 2nd team All Region last year and 1st team All Region this year. According to Coach Carillo, Dynile should make the 1st or 2nd team All American JC team. Forbes was just named the 2008 ACCAC player of the Year.
A native of Freeport Bahamas, Forbes is a 78% FT shooter and shoots 46% from the floor. He made 74/200 3pt field goals (37%), 1.8 steals per game and scored 1,166 points in his two year career at Cochise.
As a senior in high school, Dynile was invited and named to the 2005 Chick-fil-A All Tournament team in Columbus, South Carolina.
"Dynile is an Island kid who needs the warm weather so somewhere on the Gulf Coast is a perfect fit for him", said Carillo".
According to Carillo, Forbes entertained offers from ULM, Drake, Idaho, and Western Illinois. "Loyola-Chicago, LaTech, FIU, and Pepperdine just recently started recruting Dynile as well", said Carillo. "He had a visit lined up with Louisiana Tech next week but cancelled it after his visit to ULM. To be honest, coach Gus Hauser out worked all those other schools on Dynile, he recruited him the hardest".
Coach Carillo went on to say, "I think Coach Early is a perfect fit for Dynile. The comfort level at ULM must have been very high for Dynile for him to cancel his other visits and commit. I know Drake has been trying to get him up for a visit for quite some time".
Forbes will graduate from Cochise this summer and be academically eligible for the Warhawks in 2008.
