Soignier Name Sun Belt Player Of The Week

Warhawks SS Ben Soignier was named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week after hitting .500 with three long balls and eight RBI. The Junior even picked up a win on the mound.

There is a new leader atop the Sun Belt baseball standings this week thanks in large part to Sun Belt player of the week Ben Soignier of ULM.

The junior shortstop hit .500 (8-for-16) with eight RBIs and three home runs for the week lifting ULM to a sweep over then Sun Belt leader Florida Atlantic.

Soignier also picked up the win on the mound in Saturday's contest against the Owls holding the potent offense to no runs on three hits over the final 2 2/3 innings of the game, while striking out three.

Soignier finished the series against FAU 7-for-13 with seven of his eight RBIs and all three of his home runs. He recorded multiple hits in four-of-five games on the week, including all three against FAU.
