Peterson Can Fly, Will Travel

Belle Chase wide out Otis Peterson was a little know receiver to start the 2007 football season. Halfway through the year he caught his first pass and went onto to tear up the competition. Watch for a breakout season in 2008.

6'0 160 pounds doesn't sound intimidating, but you better respect it on the football field. Belle Chase wide out Otis Peterson came on like gang busters the second half of the 2007 football season. Without a catch the first half of the season, Otis finished the year with 38 catches for 697 yards and 7 touchdowns.

"Right now I am just working out, getting stronger and focusing on getting better every day", said Peterson. Belle Chase finished the 2007 season with a 7-5 record and lost out in class 4A playoffs.

Early on Otis says that several schools are looking to land his services at the college level. "ULM and ULL are the two schools that are looking at me the hardest right now. ULM offered me a couple of weeks ago after I attended one of their camps. I am set to attend a 7 on 7 camp at ULL in early July".

"ULM is a great school, I know they use a lot of receivers in their offensive scheme. I am looking for a good education, an opportunity to play early, and distance will not be a factor in my decision. I want to commit to a school before the season so I can get it out of the way and concentrate on football".

Otis carries a 3.1 GPA and scored a 18 on his ACT.
